A chaotic, yet organised arrangement of program forms a patchwork like fabric. This patchwork is used as a template for the planning of program across three sites, the McNabb Tower in Footscray, the former ETA factory in Braybrook and Victoria University’s Sunshine campus in Sunshine

Liminal spaces left between different programs become hyper-zones, a place where objects, related to each program are located and shared between other programs. These objects are located in relation to a brick colour which relates to its original program, thus generating relationships between different programs and their subsequent objects. The patchwork is tight but the nature of its occupation is loose.

This hyper-dense system is a new approach to spatial planning and can be used to suit an existing context or an architecture. It is designed to be applied across a range of scales, allowing it to be functional at the scale of a single brick, an urban block, or an entire city.
